Agnetha Faltskog
Although she has made her name as an artist on her own and performer in Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will always be best known as an ABBA member which is one of the most famous and well-known pop bands of all time. When she left school at the age of 15 Agnetha started singing in Bernt Enghardt's band which quickly gained a following. Through Enghardt, she secured the record label and topped the charts in Sweden through her debut release. She became engaged and later wed Bjorn Ulvaeus. She then joined "ABBA'. Over the course of eight years, 'ABBA' was one of the biggest music groups in the world, earning numerous gold and platinum awards throughout the world. She released three albums after ABBA which included 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me,"Eyes of a Girl,' and I Stand Alone,' they were all extremely popular in Sweden as well as gaining popularity in Europe, but not in the U.S. ABBA music became the basis for the jukebox musical Mamma Mia!. The album, 'My Coloring Book was a huge success, reaching eleven on the charts in the United Kingdom it was made after she stepped out of retirement. Her latest Album "A," has received a positive reception.
